The Business Energy Use Survey is an annual survey jointly conducted by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) collecting information about energy use by business in Ireland
under regulation (EC) No. 1099/2008 of the European Parliament and the Council of 22 October 2008.
This survey is jointly conducted by the CSO and SEAI for the purpose of estimating total energy consumption and cost in the Service sectors of the Irish economy in 2011, in order to calculate Ireland's
Energy Balance and to comply with Ireland's mandatory reporting of Energy Statistics under EU Regulation.
This form should be completed by the owner, facilities manager, energy manager, office manager, financial controller or accountant, as appropriate, using the units specified in the the survey. The data should cover all branches
operated by the enterprise in the Republic of Ireland, and only refer to energy used to operate the business in the calendar year January 2011 to December 2011 inclusive. All monetary values should exclude VAT.
The information you provide will be treated as strictly confidential in acordance with Section 33 of the Statistical Act 1993 and with EU law. It will be used only for statistical purposes.
