The Business Energy Use Survey is an annual survey conducted by the Central Statistics Office (CSO) collecting information about energy use by businesses in Ireland. This inquiry is conducted under the Statistics (Business Energy Use Survey) Order 2018 (S.I. No 509 of 2018) made under the Statistics Act, 1993.
This survey is conducted for the purpose of estimating energy consumption and cost in all sectors of the Irish economy in 2019, in order to calculate Ireland's Energy Balance and to comply with Ireland's mandatory reporting of Energy Statistics under EU Regulation.
This form should be completed by the owner, facilities manager, energy manager, office manager, financial controller or accountant, as appropriate, using the units specified in the survey. The data should cover all branches operated by the enterprise in the Republic of Ireland, and only refer to energy used to operate the business in the calendar year January 2019 to December 2019 inclusive. All monetary values should exclude VAT.
The information you provide will be treated as strictly confidential in accordance with Section 33 of the Statistics Act 1993. It will be used for statistical purposes only.
